I am Atte Leskinen, a professional photographer based in Järvenpää. I’ve been capturing weddings since 2016, and during these years, I have had the honor of documenting nearly a hundred unique wedding days.

To me, documentary wedding photography is far more than just a job. Having shot weddings for years, I carry the memories of each celebration with me as if I had been there as a guest. I love the opportunity to freeze those small, fleeting moments into lifelong memories for my couples.

My style is to capture plenty of candid situations as they unfold. I don’t set a fixed limit on the number of photos, as every wedding day is unique and it’s impossible to predict the final amount beforehand.

It is incredibly important to me that each couple receives photos that truly reflect them and their vision. That’s why I always go through the wedding day in detail with the couple in advance, ensuring every moment is planned according to their specific wishes.

Getting ready

From experience, I know that your wedding day is one of the most significant days of your life. That’s exactly why I recommend starting the photography from the very first moments of your preparations. I believe that through these photographs, you can return to those precious moments forever.

First look

The intimate moment when you see each other for the first time on your wedding day is filled with raw emotion. I highly recommend a First Look session to all my couples—it’s a wonderful way to ease those pre-ceremony nerves.

Walking down the aisle can be a bit overwhelming, but having already shared that private moment together makes the ceremony feel much more relaxed and enjoyable. These are the heartfelt memories that truly shine in Fine Art photography.

Ceremony

The ceremony is the moment you have been waiting for, and for many, it is one of the most important events in life.

Documenting it requires precision; a photographer must be in the right place at the exact right time, as there are no retakes if a shot is missed. This is where years of experience truly matter. With professional expertise, I ensure that your ceremony is captured flawlessly, providing you with a stunning gallery of memories to cherish forever.

Portraits

The most important thing to me is that the photoshoot is a relaxed and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. The duration and location of wedding portrait sessions can vary; usually, they are taken at the wedding venue or near the ceremony location. The exact timing and details are planned together during our pre-wedding meeting to ensure everything aligns perfectly with your wishes.

After the session, I carefully select and edit the best shots to create a stunning gallery. In the end, the couple receives beautiful, high-quality memories of their special day. Wedding portraits are a vital part of documenting your celebration and preserving your story for a lifetime.

Reception

Wedding photography is a beautiful blend of portraits, candid moments with guests, the atmosphere of the venue, and all the carefully planned decorations and details. As your photographer, my goal is to document every significant moment—from the heartfelt speeches and lively program to the magic of the first dance.

Documentary wedding photography begins with capturing the morning preparations and the intimate 'First Look' moments. After the ceremony, we’ll take your stunning portraits before heading to the reception! I typically stay to document the celebration all the way through to the end of the evening.
